Conduct and lead evaluations of all divisions to ensure compliance. The Director will also oversee the facilities teams to ensure that they are assisting in any and all safety and compliance needs.

The Alfond Youth & Community Center (AYCC), Boys & Girls Club and YMCA of Greater Waterville, the only merged organization in the country established in 1924 operates a comprehensive network of facilities and programs serving Central Maine.  The AYCC is focused on strengthening our community by offering programs that create a positive impact with youth, teens, adults, families, and seniors. Our mission driven organization serves 85,000 hot free meals yearly, over 1,200 wellness members and 5,000 youth members averaging 400 children per day in our licensed childcare sites. In addition to our central building of 100,000 square feet, the AYCC operates six (6) off sites after school centers, manages the outdoor municipal pool, owns and operates a premier residential and day camp operation at Camp Tracy. The organization also has two MLB licensed replica baseball fields, Maine’s Fenway and Purnell Wrigley Field. We are proud of our 98 years of service to the community, but we remain even more so hopeful about the impact upon our Central Maine communities yet to come.  The organization has no debit and has annual budget of 6.5M. The AYCC has over 160 employees and is continuing grow. As the Marketing Director, you will be responsible for leading the successful development of strategy and management of digital platforms including, but not limited to, online, mobile, social, email, text, search, display, interactive, platform integration, and digital content development. Would you like to work for an established, quality, community early learning program in the unique environment of a children’s museum? Come work for our NAEYC Accredited, Reggio-Emilia inspired early learning program! We are looking for early childhood professionals for Toddler/Twos, and Preschool age group classrooms.   The Assistant Teacher is a valuable part of our teaching team in the early learning center. The assistant teacher implements daily activities and lessons in the classroom and museum, assists the head teacher with lesson planning, observation and documentation, and assessments in accordance with NAEYC, School Readiness, and OEC guidelines. The assistant teacher also helps to prepare the learning environment, conduct small group lessons, and supervise the children under the head teacher's direction.   Requirements:   A minimum of an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field with 12 ECE credits and one year of experience with young children is required for this position. Candidates should be familiar with NAEYC standards, CT state licensing guidelines, and Developmentally Appropriate Practice. Prospective employees should be familiar with the CT Early Learning and Development Standards. First Aid, CPR, and Administration of Medication is preferred, but not required. The assistant teacher should be outgoing, friendly, detail-oriented, flexible, and reliable, a team player, able to multi-task and take direction well. Must be able to work Monday-Friday during early learning center hours. A familiarity with the Reggio-Emilia approach to education is preferred. This is a full time position with benefits.
