Title:  F/T Human Resources Coordinator               Location:  Imagine Nation

Reports to:  Human Resources Director                   Supervisor Responsibilities: No

 

Summary of Responsibilities: The HR Coordinator has exposure to all human resource procedures and assists with tasks throughout all areas of the HR department.  The Coordinator will handle all internal and external inquiries and requests.  Collaborate with Imagine Nation staff and HR Director on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform bi-weekly payroll by managing timesheets, entering and reviewing payroll, submission through ADP payroll system, distributing checks and maintaining records.
  • Ongoing communication with ADP (issues, systems issues, vacation/sick time accrual, and 401k, etc.)
  • Assist HR Director in designing policies to improve the efficiency and performance levels of the organization.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers during the recruiting process by posting open positions, reviewing resumes from potential candidates, check references and perform necessary background checks
  • New hire orientation and onboarding regarding benefits, payroll, general policies and procedures, etc.
  • Maintains human resources records for employees by recording the hiring, transfer, termination, change in job classifications, and merit increase dates as well as tracking vacation and sick time.
  • Serving as a witness for disciplinary issues/write ups/performance improvement plans
  • Tracking and informing staff about staff physicals, required professional development (First Aid, CPR, Medication and Epi-Pen, Blood Bourne Pathogens, DCF Mandated Reporter, Sexual Harassment, etc.), performing review dates
  • OEC and BBGC background checks and fingerprints (BCIS system)
  • Responsible for Employment Verifications

Qualifications

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Communication skills, excellent speaking and listening skills to share information effectively, while paying careful attention to concerns and questions from employees and job applicants
  • Decision-making skills, working to resolve employee disputes
  • Detail-oriented, ensuring the workplace is compliant with labor standards and when maintaining records regarding employee grievances
  • Must have effective organizational abilities, interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting as well
  • Must have a flexible schedule
  • Other assignments as they arise

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Two plus years of Human Resources experience
  • Three years of administrative support experience
  • Knowledge of employment law
  • Microsoft suite experience
  • Experience with hiring sites such as Indeed, etc.
  • ADP Workforce Now payroll experience preferred

Must have: free range of body motion which enables incumbent to reach, pull, push, stretch, bend,stop, twist and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.; vision and hearing acuity corrected to normal; ability to verbalize so the average person can comprehend.
