The kitchen staff team preps and serves meals, clean the kitchen area, and work as a close team. Entry-level kitchen staff should have basic large-volume food prep and knife skills. Some additional skills can be learned on the job.

This position is responsible for the continued cleanliness of camper and staff clothes, guest bedding, and assisting with other housekeeping duties. Housekeeping duties may include cleaning guest rooms to prepare for arrival or arranging guest bedding. Other duties include managing camper lost & found items.

Provide oversight during activity times and as needed.

Callander Administrative Office.  This position is 4 days onsite and 1 day remote, Monday to Friday.

Other responsibilities include providing basic first aid, serving as Camp’s first responder, monitoring health issues both in and outside of the infirmary, completing necessary paperwork/documentation, and ensuring all medical needs on site are met. The medical staff work as a close team, in collaboration with the Camp leadership team.

This position also provides maintenance and upkeep for up to 40 mountain bikes. A critical aspect of this position is to ensure safety, and to assess each individual and situation for possible risk factors.

The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of payroll and related client services, including recordkeeping and reporting. This person collaborates with HR staff and Finance staff to support and achieve Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco’s strategic goals. The Payroll Administrator meets professional obligations through efficient work habits such as meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, and attending and actively participating in meetings. This position provides training to Administrators and staff on the payroll and time and attendance system, and provides accounting and project management support to Finance.   This is an exempt full time position supporting our John N. Callander Administrative office. This position is 4 days onsite and 1 day remote, Monday to Friday.

This position will provide large group supervision as needed and 1:1 support specifically with first-time campers, campers spending time in the health center, or campers experiencing behavioral challenges.  This position acts as a “floating” counselor, supporting various groups of campers.

The Cohort Program Leader must remain with their cohort of kids each day. Additionally, they shall assume accountability for the results in achieving the outlined goals and objectives of the Club’s programs.   This position is part time (20 hours weekly during the school year; 40 hours weekly during our summer programming at another BGCSF location or option to take the summer off) supporting our Mission Preparatpry School Site.

Whether you’re joining our administrative team, a Clubhouse team, a school-based team, or our Camp Mendocino team, you’ll be surrounded by enthusiastic, talented, and passionate colleagues who wake up every day ready to inspire young people to reach their full potential.   Position Purpose Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco (BGCSF) currently has an on-site after-school Beacon program at Dr. George Washington Carver Elementary School (Beacon Carver) for the 2021-22 academic school year.  Through this partnership, BGCSF will provide a comprehensive program to approximately 145 students from Kindergarten to Fifth grade that consists of a balance of academic, enrichment, and recreational physical activities.    Carver ES is located in the vibrant Bayview-Hunters Point (BHP) neighborhood. BHP is a historically African American neighborhood that is currently undergoing a lot of transition. Rapid development and gentrification are issues that residents face on a daily basis. Although schools in BHP have a reputation for low performance, those numbers do not capture the potential of the students that show up every day. Carver benefits from strong leadership and a staff dedicated to seeing youth succeed in school. The Beacon Program Leader is a person who understands the challenges the students and community face and is dedicated to creating a positive environment of success and access to services and resources.    This position is part time 25 hours weekly (Monday to Friday 1pm-6pm) during the school year and then 40 hours weekly (Monday to Friday 9am-5pm) for summer programming (June 5- July 21, 2023) supporting our Carver Elementary School.

The Volunteer Manager also serves as BGCSF’s primary corporate engagement liaison as well as liaison to the NextGen Leadership Council, BGCSF’s young professional group.    This position is a full time exempt position at our John N. Callander Administrative Office. This position is 4 days onsite and 1 day remote, Monday to Friday.

This person may also support the Clubhouse Director and Assistant Director in various administrative duties including data entry reporting.   This is a part-time opportunity offering 25 hours weekly during the school year and 40 hours weekly for Summer Programming.

This person may also support the Clubhouse Director and Assistant Director in various administrative duties including data entry reporting. This is an on-call position offering anywhere from 0-25 hours weekly supporting our San Francisco Clubhouses and/or School Based Sites. You may provide your own ideal working schedule and we can work around your availability.
