The Boys & Girls Clubs of Whatcom County are positioning themselves to be the premier provider of Youth Development Programs in our area through targeted outreach initiatives, strategic partnerships with schools and local governments, and a commitment to ongoing professional development. Boys & Girls Clubs of Whatcom County was founded in 1946 and has been a pillar of youth programming in the community ever since. With four Clubhouses, and four licensed care center campuses we are the largest provider of youth programming in Whatcom County. Under the supervision of the CEO, the VP of Resource Development is the Chief Fundraiser for the organization; responsible for leading and executing current and long-range strategies required to build a strong fundraising culture and program that meets annual and long-range goals. The VP of Development will drive a strong revenue-oriented culture based on market-driven targets by leading the development team in planning, managing, and implementing fund development strategies for the organization. They will maintain their own portfolio of assigned major donors and prospects and personally make solicitations. Successful special events will also play a significant role in fund raising. Working closely with the CEO and/ or Board, the VP of RD will design and implement a comprehensive, dynamic strategy that will ensure the success of individual, corporate, and foundation giving. This key leader will develop, research, and oversee grant-based funding opportunities as an expanded channel. Functioning in a highly visible externally facing role, they will represent the organization while cultivating donors, managing staff and volunteers and are responsible to supervise the RD team, currently a full time Marketing Manager, Events & Fundraising Manager, and contracted grant writer. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in creating and expanding a culture of transformational philanthropy through stewardship; providing strong leadership; and having successfully recruited, motivated, and mentored a team of development professionals.

Directs and manages overall daily operations of a branch/unit under the control of the organization with the primary concern for a comprehensive, outcome-driven program and service delivery. Also supervises and trains staff (direct and indirect reports), handles personnel issues, manages facility, develops and manages a budget, actively engages and supports a Unit Advisory Council, and manages community relations, volunteers, and membership administration.

Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Philanthropy Officer (CPO) is accountable for achieving the fundraising and development goals of the Philanthropy team by growing our foundations, corporate and individual contributions, special events, grants and government funding streams, expanding our donor base and by managing key donor relationships.  The CPO assigns goals and responsibilities to team members, coaches, develops, and assesses the team and will also actively contribute to the goals of BGCSPS as a whole while accepting other responsibilities that are assigned based on the needs of the overall organization. Directs/manages overall daily operations of the designated Clubhouse with the primary concern for programs and service delivery, supervision and training of staff, facilities management, community relations, membership administration, safety, and gathering data for grant reports. KEY ROLES

Reporting to the CEO, the Director, Programs & Compliance is directly responsible for developing, implementing, and assessing the organizational approach to creating an Optimal Club Experience for youth ages 6 to 18 with an emphasis on long term organizational strategy.  Specifically, this position will oversee a broad range of programmatic operations with the primary concern for program development, implementation, and evaluation; program grant reporting/compliance, program/community outreach; collaboration and partnership; Club membership records and tracking.

In partnership with the Chief Professional Officer (CEO) and Board of Directors, the Director of Resource Development & Marketing plans, directs and administers comprehensive fundraising and marketing strategies aimed at increasing the organization’s fundraising income and public awareness of services, programs and activities.

The Board of Directors is seeking an Executive Director who envisions themself at the helm of a mission-driven organization that strives to enable all young people, especially those who need us the most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. We need a strategic thinker to manage our $500k budget and oversee the operations of our afterschool and summer programming for Brattleboro area youth ages 5-18, at two separate locations. This entails working closely with staff and Board members to ensure the fiscal sustainability and compassionate work culture at both our:   ● Nature-based, state-licensed child care program operating out of the Retreat Farm in Brattleboro ● Downtown teen center, providing unique enrichment programs for 11 to 18-year-olds in our own 8,000 square foot facility, including an indoor skate park.   Responsibilities of this position demand exceptional skills in fiscal oversight, grant management, staff & community relations. Our next leader will also require a strong knowledge of non-profit management, Board functionality and child development. Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis invites applications for the position of Grants Director.  The successful candidate must possess exceptional writing and project management skills. The Grants Manager reports to the Senior Director and is responsible for attaining financial support through the successful planning, implementation and reporting of grants.  Specific duties include generating grant proposals and supporting documents, maintaining and implementing a grant funding calendar, leading a cross departmental grants team, ensuring reporting is done in a timely manner and researching and identifying new grant prospects.  

Reporting to the President & CEO, the Vice President of Operations will be responsible for the coordination, implementation, and management of Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro South’s core operational functions with a specific focus on facilities and asset management, risk prevention and safety, member transportation services, and summer day camp operations.    The Vice President of Operations (VPO) will oversee eight direct reports and will serve as the organization’s facilities operations leader. They will be responsible for providing strategy and oversight in the areas of Club operations and child safety, and will support mission impact through facilities and risk management, quality assurance, and servant leadership.     The VPO will work in close partnership with the Vice President & Chief Program Officer to ensure that BGCMS facilities promote program quality, consistency, and outcomes. Works collaboratively with assigned Teen Coordinators/Club Directors and responsible for ensuring the implementation of teen programs and developing local resources for Club teens ages 13-18 throughout Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Virginia. Programs will foster positive identity, education, employment, social, emotional and cultural competencies, community and civic involvement, health and life skills and a moral compass. Teen Services director is responsible for overall service delivery, training of teen staff, community relations, program reporting and membership administration. The Senior Clubhouse Director is responsible for the overall management and operations of the entire Shadyside Clubhouse, serving as the leader of the staff and primary liaison to families, partners, and the community. The Senior Clubhouse Director is focused on creating and fostering a positive culture for staff while ensuring a safe, fun, and inclusive environment that results in a high quality Club experience for youth. Additionally, the position is responsible for the recruitment and oversight of staff, youth members, volunteers, partners, and rentals to ensure the Clubhouse is a vibrant and active community asset. This dynamic position requires someone who loves leading a team, collaborating with multiple internal and external stakeholders, and coordinating schedules/budgets.
