Boys and Girls Club of the Pikes Peak Region    Job Title:  Vice President of Development Operating Unit: Central Office Reports to: President & CEO Weekly Hours: Fulltime Department: Resource Development Prepared by: Human Resources Date: 5/30/2023 Salary: $50,000 - $60,000   Mission Statement:To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.   Position Overview:The Vice President of Development’sprimary role is to generate financial resources to support the organizations budget.   Supervision Received: The Vice President of Development reports directly to and receives regular supervision from the President & CEO.   Supervision Exercised: The Vice President of Development oversees the Development Manager.   Benefits: Boys & Girls Club of the Pikes Peak Region offers medical, dental, and vision to new employees the first of the month following 60 days of employment. Our current coverage is with United Health Care. The percentage the company contributes is tiered. Up to 3 years of employment the company pays 50% of medical, dental, and vision for the employee, 3-5 years it increases to 75% and after 5 years it increases to 100%. Spouse and dependent medical, dental and vision coverage is offered at the full expense of the employee.   We also offer life, Short-Term Disability and Long-Term Disability paid for by BGCPPR at 100% for employee only.   The organization also participates in a defined pension plan. This is a 401A employer contribution only. Normally, eligibility begins after first year of employment as long as 1000 hours has been met. Once eligibility has been met the Club currently pays 5% of your salary annually. In this plan we have a 2–6-year vesting schedule.   Additional benefits include 15 days of paid time off (PTO). This PTO accrues per pay period beginning at 90 days of employment. We have 9 traditional paid holidays beginning after 90 days of employment.

Manages overall daily operations of the Club unit under the supervision of the Area Director. Responsible for hiring, onboarding, and supervision of unit professional staff with a focus on an outcome-driven Club experience. Responsible for ensuring the success of Club and organizational programs, activities and services that prepare youth for success and that create a club environment that facilitates implementation of the Formula for Impact (FFI) framework and achievement of Youth Development Outcomes. Responsible for the management of but not limited to Program Directors, Americorps volunteers, Work Study staff, and Service Learning ACE(s). Responsible for ensuring a healthy and safe environment, ensuring facilities, equipment, and supplies are managed and maintained.

Reporting into the Chief Development Officer, this role will spend an equal amount of time on fundraising and marketing/communications. You will work with elementary and middle school students participating in West End House programs and provide them with coaching and mentorship in a wide array of academic fields, with a specific focus on STEAM and literacy. You will be a leader and subject matter expert in your domain and develop a high-quality, results driven educational enrichment programs. Your talents working with young people will be vital to build close-knit relationships that will help youth remain engaged in the programming. These relationships, in combination with reflections from program data, will enable you to  adapt and grow the program to create the best outcomes for young people.   You will be the primary staff member in charge of the Academic Success Program and report directly to the Program Director.

A wide spectrum of volunteer engagement fills potential service gaps and enhances overall program quality. Additionally, the disproportionate impact of COVID on specific communities led us to develop new programs and services that aim to directly combat these challenges. This, in turn, gave rise to a need for a stronger volunteer pipeline and increasingly streamlined volunteer relationships.    As Community Engagement Coordinator, you’ll help to lead and manage initiatives aimed at cultivating new individual and institutional volunteer relationships. You will focus on managing volunteers across the breadth of West End House’s programming, while working closely with the Chief of External Affairs to brainstorm and implement engagement pathways for alumni,  volunteers, and donors. You will be the primary point of contact for all community and volunteer relations.

This role involves a broad range of accounting duties, including financial record-keeping, analysis, reporting, budgeting, grant management, and compliance tasks. The Junior Accountant will work under the guidance of the VP of Finance, playing a critical role in financial record-keeping, analysis, and reporting.

PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Marketing Communications Specialist is part of the Development Team, reports to the VP of Development & Marketing, and is responsible for increasing our brand awareness through our online and offline communications and marketing. The Specialist’s responsibilities include creating and developing marketing materials that promotes programs and events, attracts and retains donors and partners, and helps increase community awareness using email distribution, social media platforms, direct mail and posters/flyers. The position requires a high-level of organization, relationship management skills, creativity, attention to detail, and impeccable communication and follow-through. ENVIRONMENT AND WORKING CONDITIONS Tasks are regularly performed with moderate exposure to environmental conditions such as dirt, dust, pollen, odors, wetness, humidity, rain, fumes, and temperature and noise extremes.   PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS Tasks involve the ability to exert very moderate physical effort in light work, typically involving some combination of standing for long periods of time, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling, and which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate  weight. The Chief Operations Officer (COO) is BGCDT’s connective, mission-driven staff link between the CEO and the organization’s program site management teams, program partners and affiliated programs and operations. As the operations leader, they embody passion for the organization and its mission, while ensuring development, implementation and evaluation of high-impact programs, capable staff, effective member recruitment and program marketing, safe facilities and procedures that assures program outcome goals are met for targeted youth in accordance with grant goals in each Club. The COO works as a part of the organization’s leadership team to help strategically plan for growth, including staffing and opening new site locations, and develops policies and procedures to increase the optimal experience for Club members and BGCDT team members.

The Director of Donor Impact is a highly motivated and results-driven fundraiser, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with the goal to establish and grow an individual giving program for the founding Boys & Girls Club in the country. Report to and partner with the Vice President for Development & Communications in the design and implementation of the Great Futures 2025 Campaign set to raise $5 Million in two years from individuals while supporting efforts to grow overall operating support from $5 million to $7 million.  The role requires strategic coordination of all major, annual, and planned giving components including significantly growing the individual prospect pool with a capacity of $10,000 or more; implementing engagement opportunities designed to increase the number of annual donors via direct mail appeals, creating, and sustaining individual gift clubs, working with volunteer committees, and collaborating on successful fundraising and cultivation events. Candidates should possess familiarity with gift planning vehicles and best practices and a successful track record in closing annual, major, and planned gifts. This person will manage a portfolio of prospects annually and will cultivate, directly solicit, and steward these donors. A key component of the Director of Donor Impact role is to establish campaigns targeting Hartford suburbs with the help of seven suburban awareness committees whose role is to build Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford’s awareness and impact and establish suburban fundraising outreach. Through the direction of the Director of Donor Impact, the Suburban Awareness Committees will identify, cultivate and solicit $10,000 and larger prospects, enlist new third-party event hosts and sponsors, generate public relations, and help with grassroots outreach via direct mail, social media, and other vehicles. The Director of Donor Impact is a key member of a six-person Development team who will regularly partner with the VP for Development & Communications, Director of Corporate Engagement, Director of Grants & Sponsored Programs, Marketing & Communications Manager, and Donor Impact Administrator.

  The VP of Youth Development is responsible for directing the strategic and operational output of the youth development functions within the organization. This position will implement an organization-wide strategy that includes program partners, program design, training and coaching for Club management and staff practices to support quality youth development. The VP, Youth Development finds, develops and utilizes program partners, volunteers and community support to enhance Club and Workforce Development programming. 

This individual is responsible for oversight, management, and delivery of outcome-driven program operations for Bailey’s Platte Canyon Club with the primary concern for programs and service delivery, supervision and training of staff/volunteers, grant and program reporting, community relations, membership administrations, public relations, marketing and network building. The Boys & Girls Clubs of the High Rockies is a small, rural organization, as such the Unit Director is expected to take an active role in program planning and implementation. Plan, implement, supervise and evaluate activates provided within specific program areas, including, Academic Success , Good Character and Leadership, Healthy Lifestyles, the Arts, and Social Recreation,   This position works directly with youth and will involve implementing engaging, effective, safe, age-appropriate programs for youth between the ages of 5-18 years old.
