Boys and Girls Club of the Pikes Peak Region    Job Title:  Vice President of Development Operating Unit: Central Office Reports to: President & CEO Weekly Hours: Fulltime Department: Resource Development Prepared by: Human Resources Date: 5/30/2023 Salary: $50,000 - $60,000   Mission Statement:To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.   Position Overview:The Vice President of Development’sprimary role is to generate financial resources to support the organizations budget.   Supervision Received: The Vice President of Development reports directly to and receives regular supervision from the President & CEO.   Supervision Exercised: The Vice President of Development oversees the Development Manager.   Benefits: Boys & Girls Club of the Pikes Peak Region offers medical, dental, and vision to new employees the first of the month following 60 days of employment. Our current coverage is with United Health Care. The percentage the company contributes is tiered. Up to 3 years of employment the company pays 50% of medical, dental, and vision for the employee, 3-5 years it increases to 75% and after 5 years it increases to 100%. Spouse and dependent medical, dental and vision coverage is offered at the full expense of the employee.   We also offer life, Short-Term Disability and Long-Term Disability paid for by BGCPPR at 100% for employee only.   The organization also participates in a defined pension plan. This is a 401A employer contribution only. Normally, eligibility begins after first year of employment as long as 1000 hours has been met. Once eligibility has been met the Club currently pays 5% of your salary annually. In this plan we have a 2–6-year vesting schedule.   Additional benefits include 15 days of paid time off (PTO). This PTO accrues per pay period beginning at 90 days of employment. We have 9 traditional paid holidays beginning after 90 days of employment.

PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Marketing Communications Specialist is part of the Development Team, reports to the VP of Development & Marketing, and is responsible for increasing our brand awareness through our online and offline communications and marketing. The Director of Donor Impact is a highly motivated and results-driven fundraiser, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with the goal to establish and grow an individual giving program for the founding Boys & Girls Club in the country. Report to and partner with the Vice President for Development & Communications in the design and implementation of the Great Futures 2025 Campaign set to raise $5 Million in two years from individuals while supporting efforts to grow overall operating support from $5 million to $7 million.  The role requires strategic coordination of all major, annual, and planned giving components including significantly growing the individual prospect pool with a capacity of $10,000 or more; implementing engagement opportunities designed to increase the number of annual donors via direct mail appeals, creating, and sustaining individual gift clubs, working with volunteer committees, and collaborating on successful fundraising and cultivation events. Candidates should possess familiarity with gift planning vehicles and best practices and a successful track record in closing annual, major, and planned gifts. This person will manage a portfolio of prospects annually and will cultivate, directly solicit, and steward these donors. A key component of the Director of Donor Impact role is to establish campaigns targeting Hartford suburbs with the help of seven suburban awareness committees whose role is to build Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford’s awareness and impact and establish suburban fundraising outreach. Through the direction of the Director of Donor Impact, the Suburban Awareness Committees will identify, cultivate and solicit $10,000 and larger prospects, enlist new third-party event hosts and sponsors, generate public relations, and help with grassroots outreach via direct mail, social media, and other vehicles. The Director of Donor Impact is a key member of a six-person Development team who will regularly partner with the VP for Development & Communications, Director of Corporate Engagement, Director of Grants & Sponsored Programs, Marketing & Communications Manager, and Donor Impact Administrator.
