Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, communications, public relations, nonprofit management, community development, or a related field required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in community outreach, partnership development, social services, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse community stakeholders, organizations, and partner agencies.
- Experience representing an organization in public or community settings, including events, meetings, and coalitions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare outreach materials and deliver presentations.
- Experience with volunteer coordination or community event planning preferred.
- Familiarity with the communities served by Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM or partner tracking tools a plus.
- Ability to travel statewide regularly; valid driver’s license required.
- Ability to pass all required background checks and clearances.
Environmental and Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a combination of office, community, and Club site environments, with regular travel to partner organizations, community events, and Club locations across the state. Employees are subject to transfer from one department to another and from one Club/School Site to another as the needs of the organization change.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Ability to sit, type, and work at a computer for extended periods.
- Occasional lifting, carrying, or moving objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to perform duties effectively under stressful conditions; make decisions quickly and accurately with tact and impartiality.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Work Hours:
Monday – Friday; hours vary based on organizational needs. Evening and weekend work will be required for community events, outreach activities, and partner engagements; flexibility is expected.
