This role includes a 12-14-week PTO blackout period from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
The Executive Director is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all Freight Farms and hunger relief initiatives across the organization, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and community needs. This role manages day-to-day operations, program expansion, and performance monitoring of Freight Farms, while leading partnerships, logistics, and resource allocation to support hunger relief efforts. The position collaborates with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure efficiency, sustainability, and compliance, tracks outcomes and impact, and drives continuous improvement to maximize access to fresh, nutritious food for the populations served.
The Executive Director is the leader of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives for the organization in an effort to enhance processes, performance, and outcomes. Responsibilities involves collecting and analyzing data, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement, facilitating root cause analyses, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop, implement, and monitor quality improvement plans including the annual NYOI initiatives. The position also ensures compliance with grantfunded CQI standards, supports performance measurement and reporting, and promotes a culture of quality, accountability, and ongoing improvement through training, communication, and stakeholder engagement.
Ultimately, the Executive Director will assist with driving, leading and managing a seamless and meaningful Club experience, from an individual’s first point of contact with the Club to the daily engagement of current members.
