Overview

The Director of Impact and Outcomes (DIO) will direct and bring innovative ideas to drive the club-wide operations of all programs with broad oversight of program activities.  Plans, develop, and oversee implementation of programs and motivates managers and staff to implement long term strategies to achieve organizational goals. DIO will implement a strategy for positive youth development and member experience including program quality, partnership development and data collection.  In collaboration with other senior leaders, the DIO develops and monitors goals, strategic ambition and plans around programmatic alignment, financial management, and technology. The DIO is responsible for overseeing the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of all programs for youth between the ages of 5 and 18 across all sites. DIO is responsible for tracking tangible results in our priority outcome areas of Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, Good Character and Citizenship.

Responsibilities

Leadership:

Direct Club leaders in fulfilling and making appropriate choices for our members in educational, personal, physical, social, emotional, and vocational needs (Impact).

Innovates new models of organization wide program goals (Outcomes) that ensure compliance with agreed upon deliverables and organizational success.

Provide leadership and supervision to assigned program and volunteer staff; manages budgets and controls expenses as assigned. 

Lead organization wide data collection, analysis and reporting for program, impact and outcome measurement.

Commits to data-driven decision making with a focus on Optimal Club Experience and Optimal Staff Experience. Must be able to take staff through the entire CQI cycle using YPQA.

 

 

Strategic Planning:

 Develop and implement long-term strategies to achieve organizational program goals and ensure grant funded programs are ran with fidelity.

Conduct in-depth analysis of the organization's programs to ensure programs are aligned with the organization’s mission, vision and values.

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the strategic plan, adjusting as needed to ensure ongoing success of the organization.

Ensure compliance with organizations expectations including but not limited to reporting, assessments, and evaluations.

Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress towards strategic goals and identify areas for improvement.

 

Resource Management

 Oversee the planning, execution, monitoring, and control of projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within budget, to meet the organizational needs.

Participate in the development; implementation and monitoring of the Club’s annual budget, ensuring that club-wide programs and activities are operated within established budgetary guidelines.

Collaborates with Resource Development and Marketing & Communications to develop grant proposals.

Provide reports and analysis to support the fund raising, grant, and other compliance requirements and other reports or data collection required of Clubs.

 

 

Skills

 Ability to develop a clear and compelling vision for the organization's continued success.

Anticipate industry trends and potential challenges and make necessary adjustments to ongoing programs to ensure the efficacy of the programs.

Creating and implementing comprehensive strategic plans.

Ability to set a vision for excellence across multiple Club locations and develop a training, support, and accountability structure to ensure the successful implementation of that vision.

Leadership skills include the ability to persuade and motivate staff to achieve organizational goals.

Expert level knowledge of the mission, objectives, policies, programs, procedures, principles and practices of Boys & Girls Clubs.

Ability to manage and implement multiple projects and programs and to develop solutions to problems with limited supervision.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field from an accredited college or university, Graduate degree preferred.
  • A minimum of five years’ work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Group leadership skills, including an understanding of group dynamics.
  • Demonstrated organizational, staff and project management abilities. Must have proven track record of large scale multi-site program management (14 sites) as well as increasing year over Optimal Club Experience and YPQA scores through sucessful implementation of CQ cycles.
  • Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certifications and CDL Class B with Passenger endorsement within first 90 days.
