The Club Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, programs, and services of the Boys & Girls Club. This role involves ensuring a safe, enriching, and welcoming environment for all members, managing staff, maintaining facilities, and fostering strong relationships with community partners and stakeholders.
Essential Duties:
Staff Supervision:
- Hire, train, Supervise and provide performance management for all Club staff.
- Provide ongoing professional development opportunities for staff.
- Foster a positive team culture and ensure adherence to BGCSDC policies and procedures.
- Manage schedules and approve employee timecards for payroll processing.
Safety and Facility Management:
- Ensure a safe, clean and maintained Club facility that meets BGCSDC standards,
- Communicate all facility maintenance and necessary repairs.
- Ensure that signs and posters are attractively and prominently displayed throughout the Clubhouse.
Administrative Functions:
- Complete and submit reports, financial records, and member statistics.
- Create a monthly report on the member’s attendance, programs and activities provided evaluations of each program/activity offered, and a fiscal report on expenses/revenue for submission to Director, Program Services.
- Conduct monthly inventory of equipment and supplies.
- Attend scheduled staff meetings.
- Ensure Club and Staff are equipped for crisis management.
- Assist with special events and/or programs.
- Conduct regular evaluations of club programs and operations to identify areas for improvement and growth.
Community Relations:
- Promote and market club programs to attract and retain members.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, community leaders, schools, and other stakeholders.
- Represent the club at community events and meetings.
- Consult with parents concerning member and Club issues.
- Work with Advancement team on arranging/conducting tours.
