Overview

The Senior Vice President of Program Services will oversee all programs and services offered in established Before & After School Programs, Summer Camps, Intervention & Diversion Services, Athletics & Enrichment for 10,000 youth annually. Incumbent will be the lead staff person in developing program/curriculum agency-wide, ensuring fidelity in implementation across 40+ Club locations, and measuring quality & outcomes. Incumbent works in close partnership with Senior Vice President of Club Operations to ensure a World Class Club Experience. 

Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

Lead Club Programs offered in established Before & After School, Summer, Intervention & Diversion, Athletics, & Enrichment programs.  

  • Guarantee results in meeting our #1 strategic priority of providing a world class Club experience to kids & families in need by: 
  • Authoring & managing annual program plan with tangible, measurable goals and programs offered in 5 core areas: Education & Career, Health & Life-Skills, Sports & Recreation, Character & Leadership, and the Arts. 
  • Developing, evaluating and adapting Club programs to continually meet verified community needs. 
  • Ensuring high quality and managing continuous quality improvement efforts.  
  • Lead Community Partnerships that yield high quality learning opportunities for Club Members. Act as primary community liaison for all Club programming.   

Build a world class team in partnership with Human Resources (#2 strategic priority) This includes supporting the hiring, training, supervising, evaluating and retaining all youth impact leadership & program services team. Provide effective leadership and direction to all Club staff.? 

Ensure grant compliance for in local, state and federal contracts. Maintaining accurate data & performance measures as required, including: Member academic performance, Club registration, Club & program attendance. Hold team members accountable for accuracy and partner with Grants Compliance team to ensure on time accurate reporting.

Qualifications

  • Requirements

    Education and/or Expertise 

    • Four-year degree in related field from an accredited college or university, Masters preferred. 

    • A minimum of ten years management experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar multi-million dollar organization planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people.

     • A minimum of ten years’ experience in leading organizations, over 150 employees. 

    Computer & Equipment Skills 

    • Microsoft Sharepoint & Office Suite, emphasis on Excel 

    • Database management experience, Salesforce a plus

     • Demonstrated organizational, staff and project management abilities. 

    • Experience working with local government, boards of directors and major donors.  

    Requirements 

    • Must provide own vehicle, have a valid state driver’s license and proof of auto insurance. 

    • Must reside in Sonoma or Marin counties and office daily out of Santa Rosa. 

    • Applicants must be able to successfully perform the essential physical functions of this position with or without a reasonable accommodation.  

     • Sufficient strength, agility and mobility to perform essential functions of position.  

     • Requires ability to walk, sit, stand, bend, squat, pull/push, grasp up to 4-8 hours per day.
