Overview

Position: Resource Development Coordinator

Reports To: Senior Development Officer

Location: Westlake Village, California

Status: Full Time Hourly

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Resource Development Coordinator to join our team. This role involves cultivating and stewarding existing donors, providing data support for grant requests, and coordinating special events. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a passion for nonprofit fundraising.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward existing and prospective donors through various communication channels.
  • Manage and update the donor database, utilizing technology and tools for donor management.
  • Track fundraising income and acknowledge contributions with letters and special recognition events.
  • Coordinate special events and donor visits with staff and the board.
  • Prepare meeting correspondence for calls and presentations.
  • Lead staff efforts for the annual Gala, working with graphic artists, gathering information, and managing event logistics.
  • Lead the Board Development Committee, including scheduling meetings and assisting in recruiting new Board members.
  • Serve as a liaison to community groups and organizations conducting third-party fundraising events.
  • Support the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce by attending various functions throughout the year.
  • Collaborate with the Board of Directors and Board of Ambassadors to meet annual fundraising commitments.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Qualifications: preferred.

    • Strong work ethic with excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to secure commitments from donors.
    • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office and database management.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to lift/carry up to 20 lbs occasionally.
    • Frequent sitting, standing, and walking.
    • Occasional bending, kneeling, crouching, and reachin
    • Minimum of three years of nonprofit experience with a focus on fundraising, marketing, management, budgeting, and public relations.
    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
