Director Of Operations

Provides strategic leadership of Club operations and programs with primary concern for high quality outcome driven program development, service delivery, and staff development. Enables each Club Unit to effectively deliver Salvation Army programs and Boys & Girls Club youth development program(s) and strategies, which expand the mission of The Salvation Army. Collaborates with the Divisional Director (SABGCTX CEO) in setting and driving an operational strategy that facilitates the achievement of mission and strategic outcomes.  Enhances organizational excellence by establishing operational benchmarks and timelines needed to archive strategic goals by proactively recommending improvements; that drives Salvation Army territorial standards (SOP’s), BGCA standards of effectiveness (SOE), and key performance indicators.

Key responsibilities:

• Operational Administration and Oversight
• Training
• Resource Development and Financial Management of Grants and other funding sources

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in education, social services, exercise and sports sciences or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in administering youth programs in a Boys and Girls Club or six years in another youth-serving organization to include supervision of staff and two years in a significant leadership capacity
• Passion for providing high quality programs for youth development
• Ability to travel with a valid driver’s license
• Tier 2 BGCA Certification or ability to obtain
• CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain
