Overview

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Chattahoochee Valley is the Chattahoochee Valley’s premier youth development organization. Our programs, training and services impact nearly 2,500 children and teens every year. We are in the midst of an unprecedented shift in our program strategy and are in search for a passionate individual who can support the Resource Development operations for this growing organization.

 

We are seeking qualified Resource Development Consultant  to play a critical role in securing the financial resources necessary to support the growth and sustainability of the organization's programs and services. This role focuses on building and maintaining relationships with individuals, businesses, foundations, and government entities to secure funding and resources that directly impact the success and positive outcomes for youth and families served by the Boys & Girls Clubs.

Responsibilities

Fundraising Strategy Development

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to create a comprehensive resource development strategy aligned with the organization's mission, goals, and financial needs.
  • Identify potential funding sources, including individuals, corporations, foundations, and government grants, and assess their alignment with the organization's mission and programs.

Relationship Building

  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with existing and potential donors, sponsors, and partners to secure financial support and in-kind contributions.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders, maintaining regular communication and providing updates on the organization's impact and financial needs.

Donor Engagement & Coprpate Partnerships

  • Develop and execute strategies to engage individual donors, including major donors, through personalized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities.
  • Organize and participate in donor appreciation events, fundraisers, and other engagement opportunities.
  • Identify and engage corporate partners for sponsorship opportunities, employee engagement initiatives, and cause-related marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications to ensure effective promotion of corporate partnerships. 

Collaboration with Programs Team / Club Staff

  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with existing and potential donors, sponsors, and partners to secure financial support and in-kind contributions.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders, maintaining regular communication and providing updates on the organization's impact and financial needs.

 Reporting & Documentation 

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of donor interactions, contributions, and grant submissions in the organization's donor management system.
  • Generate regular reports on fundraising progress and outcomes to share with internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as nonprofit management, business, or communications) preferred

 

Experience

  • Proven experience in fundraising, resource development, or related fields, preferably in a nonprofit environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives for different audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.

 

Skills

  • Knowledge of fundraising best practices, trends, and ethical guidelines.
  • Proficiency in donor management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
