The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County is currently accepting applications for Youth Development Specialist. The Youth Development Specialist responsible for safety, administrative compliance branch programming and front desk operations.

Responsibilities

Duties include but not limited to: adhering to all policies, procedures and processes; safety of members, staff, equipment, materials, and facilities; administrative compliance and reporting with accuracy; membership tracking; implementing assigned programming and activities; provide excellent customer service; build relationships; and be a positive role model.

Qualifications

Education and work experience requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in the health and human services field to include work with youth
  • Must meet state requirements for employment at license childcare site

Qualifications include:

  • Available to work between the hours of 2pm-7pm Monday – Friday during school year; up to 37.5 hours per week during summer Monday - Friday
  • Ability to be a positive role model
  • Ability to establish rapport and build relationships
  • Ability to relate to at-risk youth
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Must be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
  • Must be able to pass any and all required background screens and drug screens at any time
  • Some positions require driving company vehicle. Candidates must have satisfactory driving record and a valid driver’s license for operation of a motor vehicle relevant to carrying out duties and to be covered under the company insurance the requirement is for employee to be a minimum of age 21.
