Overview

PRIMARY FUNCTION: This position is responsible for researching, writing, and securing grants from corporations, foundations, and government sources in consultation with the Executive Director and Resource Development Director, as well as the program team. The Grants Director will prepare all reports for grants and maintain a grants calendar which logs upcoming applications, reporting deadlines and tracks proposals in progress. This position is also responsible for coordinating the acknowledgement, recognition, and stewardship of grants awarded. The resource development department is responsible for the development and implementation of all philanthropy aspects of the Boys & Girls Club of the Bemidji Area.

Full-time position benefits currently include:

Qualifications

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience and/or education in non-profit operations and/or grant writing.
  • Proven effectiveness in applying for and securing grants of at least $100,000 cumulatively annually.
  • Ability to keep accurate and up-to-date grant records, log, record, itemize, tabulate grant applications, reports, and correspondence in local server files and web-based grant management software.
  • Ability to effectively plan, communicate, organize, prioritize, and ensure implementation of all grant funded projects in relation to established goals and objectives; precision and attention to detail in respect to strict grant deadlines and stewardship efforts
  • Strong communication skills including oral and written.
